Counterpart lease for 14 years by Elizabeth Pocock of St Martin in the Fields, Middlesex, widow, to William Cole, citizen and carpenter of London, of a brick messuage known as The Harrow, situated near Queenhithe in the parish of St Michael Queenhithe, London, late in the occupation of Samuel Richards and John Wilmott and now of William Cole. Signature and seal of William Cole. Enclosed: letter addressed to William Brocket, esq., Shier (Shire) Lane, from John Fortrie, Queen Hith, 5 July 1755, declining the offer of taking on a lease because the rent is 'too large for a tenant at will'.
