(3) Letters of John Rowlands, 'Giraldus', Welsh secretary and librarian to Sir Thomas Phillipps, to Octavius Morgan, 1885-6, and papers conc. Rowlands including a printed account of his life;-

(4) Notebooks:-
(a) Duodecimo, marbled covers, containing extracts from PRO records, etc., and personal notes (conc. the estate of Wakeman's aunt);-
(b) Duodecimo, red, containing notes on the Wakeman family, PRO extracts, genealogy;-
(c) Octavo, green leather, containing PRO extracts, genealogy, notes on the Indian zodiac, equinox, Sanscrit, etc.;-

(5) Letters, notes, printed material, and photographs relating to church plate, c. 1880-2;-

(6) Earlier papers:- Letter of attorney of William Nichol, sheriff, appointing a representative in Westminster, 1775; poem, 18th century, beg. 'You Gentlemen of Monmouthshire';-

(7) Photograph of a stone fragment found in the old church of St Mary's, Monmouth; drawing of a quarry tile from Caerleon Castle.
