Correspondence and papers of the Secretary of SAL concerning the supervision, funding and discoveries of excavations in the City of London, including printed invitation to visit a section of Roman wall discovered at St Martin le Grand and plan of site, 1888; letters about the Roman wall at the Christ's Hospital site, 1907-1908; and the Roman bath in Strand Lane, 1924. Also contains correspondence about the supervision of excavations by the Corporation of London Library, 1927, and the appointment by SAL of an Investigator of Excavations for the City, and published printed report of the SAL London Excavation Fund, c.1931.
