Anniversary Meeting to elect President, Council and Officers of the Society for the year ensuing.
Names of Fellows who had died (17) and those elected (32) during the preceding year.
Council Ballot: 11 former members of Council and 10 other Members of the Society chosen.
George, Earl of Leicester elected President. Other officers elected: John Topham (Treasurer); Richard Gough (Director); Rev. John Brand and Rev. Thomas William Wright (Secretaries).
Books and prints to be delivered at next meeting: Plates of funeral procession of Queen Elizabeth; Remigius’s church at Lincoln; Crosses erected by Edward I in memory of Queen Eleanor; Ornaments to the crosses; all with accompanying text. First part of Archaeologia Vol. 10 before summer break.
This being Easter Eve, the Society would dine together on May 5th, the old St. George’s day, at the Crown & Anchor Tavern in the Strand; the next meeting was therefore postponed to May 12th.
