Great Comberton
The Parish contains about

Mr. C. shewed me brafs Denarius which was found in digging, on the slope of the Hill, hary ? over the Road from Comb.n to Eckington, where
stands a very fine Elm belong.g to Mr. Hanford, about 8 yrs. Ago – I thought I discovered a female fig to SC on the Reverse, the Head is perfect but the Lyon in gone.-

Comberton. bounds. North West on Pensham. - by Mary Brook
North. on Wick.- separ.d by Mary Brook. Common
North East & East - on Little Comberton . - - Inclosures
South East . - on Elmley - Wood
South. Wollashull in parish of Eckington . - Hill
West.- Eckington. – new Inclosures
On North & North West – separated from Birlingham by Avon

Mr Shekell of Little Comberton 23 July. 1817 gave me these boundaries
North, on Pensham -
East, on Little Comberton
South on Overbury, or, perhaps Kemerton. – to top of the Hill – divided by a Wall
West on Eckington
North West on Birlingham.

It is chiefly wheat Land. Lies in a flat at the bottom of Bredon Hill
The Lime stone answers the purpose of making mortar. – as was instanced in repairing
the Chancel
The Water comes from Kemerton Hill
Wells vary in depth from 3 to 40 feet the springs break up from the Clay through the Gravel.

Wake, not now kept up, used to be on the Wednesday after Michaelmas day.

Mr. Hanford & Mr. Ashley Rector of Eckington have the great Tithes
Mr. Hanford has about 1/3 of the Land & two parts out of three of the great tithes.

Small Tithes formerly about 30£ now 120£.
It has received Queen Annes bounty

A Mr Palmer is mentioned in Biographia Britannica as a native of this Place
There is a Place now called Palmers Lane."
