1 – Here Lyeth the Body of | WILLIAM WRIGHT | Gentleman who departed this | Life the
IId. Of May MDCCXIIII. Aged LXXIV Years.

My Lofs is great, his Gain far more
O why should I complain therefore?

2.- Arms – a chevron - To the memory of THO.S WRIGHT Gent. | who departed
y.e Transitory Life | On the 16th Day of Janu:ry 1767. | And in the 63rd Year of his age
Short was my Life, strong was my Pain,
To rest in Christ in now my Gain :
So weep no more, my Wife and Children dear,
My Joys are great you need not fear.
His [?] Hopes in Heaven we shall meet again
In Bliss and Glory Ever to remain.
3. In Memory of William Wright Gen: who departed this Life the 27th Day of April
1776 aged 23 Years.
Mans Life of Earth may well compared be
Like to the Blofsom of A fruitful tree.
Which one Day seems most Beautiful and Gay
And on the Morrow fades most suddenly away
Mans Life is Hiph [?] like, tender Buds by frost,
Death gives the Wound, and then our Breath is lost.
A gravestone for William Phillips in the Church-yard measured 7 feet above Ground by 4 ½ -"
