He that lies here was of a generous Mind
A loving husband, and an Uncle Kind.
Let all and each of us our Lives so spend,
That we like him our Day may sweetly end.

2nd. In Memory of Dame Mary Agnes | Lewis who departed this Life the 19th of March
1786 aged 58 Years
A Rare Example pf good life
Lies here, a tender loving Wife
A chaste Wife, a virtuous spouse,
And True to her connubial vows.
Her house did shew her prudent care
She knew both how to spend and spare;
Knew when to give and when to take,
And all she did was for God’s sake.
She was goodnatur’d true and just
And always faithful to her Trust.
Mrs. Middleton, mother of the present Rector is buried in a vault with Communion
Rails – but there is no stone to her Memory.
On slabs in the Chancel below Communion Rails
