Aug [?] 15 18 On a Table against the East Wall of Church.
A Particular of Charities belonging to Great Comberton in the County and Diocese of
Worcester.
Seven Rudges of arable land lying dispersedly in the open Field of Great Comberton
containing about three acres
One little Close called and known by the Name of Tibbes.
One little Close called and known by the Name of The Coppice.
And one small Paddock, or, Parcel, of Ground whereon a Dwelling House standeth, here
before built by one Joan Pope now deceased – all in the Precincts of Great Comberton
aforesaid. – all which Premises are now in the Pofsefsion of John Mariot & Patience
his wife, the daughter of William Hancox, which they hold by Indenture of Lease
bearing date the 27th of June in the 22nd Year of the Reign [1670] of King Charles the Second.
for the Residue of a Term of 99 Years determinable upon the Life of the said Patience
at the Yearly rent of 13 shillings and …. Pence. The improved Value is Three
Pounds per annum, and the Premises are called Parish Lands, the Rents whereof
and the fines upon granting Leases have been always employed by the Landhol:
-ders of the Parish to some publicke Use; (viz) sometimes to the Repairs of the
Church, and another Time to the Use of the Poor, or to such other publick Use as
the Landholders have thought fit. – the Donor is unknown, the only surviving
feoffee in Trust is Edward Walker, now of Evesham, attorney in Law.
Item. – a Rent Charge of Twenty Shillings per annum
Ifsuing out of a Close in Great Comberton of Edward Walker’s gentleman,
called the West=Croft, granted by the said Edward Walker, by Indenture
bearing Date this … day of January in the year of our Lord 1709 (turn over)

to the Trustees & their Heirs – This Twenty shillings per annum is for the Use
of the Poor of Great Comberton & was purchased of the said Edward Walker for the
Sum of Twenty Pounds. –
[at the back of the Table is a mutilated Copy from which the above appears
to have been transcribed. The following words are still visible …Pounds –
Heretofore given …. Alderman of London ….Anno Dni. 1711]

There are Row of Houses near the Church & some Land, which altogether may be about four
or five Acres, belonging to the Church.
There are also three or four acres in Birlingham belonging to the Poor, the Rent of which
Is generally given to the Poor in Coals.

There is no School in the Parish, except a Sunday one established by Mrs. Hanford & Miss
Middleton, sister of the present Rector -
