The drawing shows a vessel with a rod-sectioned handle, wide mouth, and flat base, probably Medieval, found at St Michael's, Crooked Lane, London.

Inscription content

was probably a Roman Measure for liquids. I found similar vessels in height 7 inches ¾, 6 inches ¾ and 5 inches.
