Content description
Two tiles forming a single panel, hand-painted with a crowned female figure wearing a flowing robe, wringing her hands. She stands on the seashore, shells scattered about her feet. A narrow banner bearing the words ‘IMAGO DIDONIS CARTHAGINIS REGINAE MARTYRIS’ is suspended to her right.
