Content description
Two tiles forming a single panel, hand-painted with a tiled interior with small square window beside which stands a robed female figure wearing a crown and facing left. She is holding out the tapestry which illustrates her ordeal at the hands of Tereus. A narrow banner is suspended beneath it, upon which are the words IMAGO PHILOMELÆ DE ATHENIS MARTYRIS
