Scope and content
Transcript by Mill Stephenson of the 16th century version owned by Everard Green, Somerset, FSA, who presented it to the College of Arms in 1920; copied 1919 (fol. 2). See Aspilogia, I (1950), 9-14, for other sources and for the Everard Green manuscript, p. 13. The present transcript consists of blazons, with photographs of the original tipped in, and index, fols. 4-65; blazons of arms on the dorse, with indexes, fols. 66-127v, and ordinary of the obverse, fols. 129-64 (rectos). Blazons from the earliest extant source, College of Arms MS B 29, pp. 20-7, 13th century fragment, with photographs and index, fols. 128v-50v (versos). Notes on sources by Mill Stephenson, fols. 1-3, and list of coats, with blazons, fol. 3v, supplied from Fitzwilliam MS 297, 15th century, to replace the missing first leaf of the Everard Green manuscript. Photographs of Fitzwilliam MS 297, fols. 9, 10, 24, with typescript description of sources, 1935, and a letter from Sir Anthony Wagner to H. S. London, 1955, enclosing the transcript, fols. ii-x.
