Attestation by 33 (named) squires, gentlemen, priests and yeomen that John Assheton, knight, had a deed of gift made to him and his heirs by John Wylde (Wild), late of Hyde in the county of Chester, granting Assheton all the messuages, lands, rents and services he (Wild) had in Newton, Godley, Holynworth (Hollingworth), Hagh, Stockport and Longdendale, Cheshire, and that they had no knowledge of an earlier gift allegedly made by Wild to Raynold Legh the younger son of Robert Legh. 7 seals and 5 seal fragments on 13 seal tags.
