Scope and content
Copy of the so-called first Calais roll containing the names and arms of knights serving with Edward III in France and at the taking of Caen and Calais; 18th century. With 107 coloured shields. The first Calais roll was based on two lost rolls of accounts of Walter Wetewang, Treasurer of the Household, arranged under names of bannerets, beside which arms were added at a later date.
