Two small rolls containing facsimiles on old vellum of:- (a) An inscription on a leaden plate found in a vault in Beverley Minster, 13 Sept. 1664, recording the burning of the church in 1188, a search for relics of St John of Beverley and reburial of bones found, 1197. See Gibson's Camden, 4th edition, II (1772), 105;- (b) An inscription on a stone over the south west door of the Temple church in London (when repaired in 1695) recording the consecration of the chancel in 1185 and grant of indulgence by Heraclius, Patriarch of the Church of the Resurrection.
