Scope and content
Account roll of William de Boudon, treasurer of Qu Isabella; Michaelmas (29 Sept.)-14 Nov. 1325. Contains expenses of the Queen's household while in France, including names of guests, details of her progress from Paris to Rheims, with several mentions of Prince Edward (afterwards Edward III). With a later endorsement: 'Hunc rotulum misit hic Will(elm)us de Boudon contrarotulator Thome de London..', dated 11 Nov. 1328 (reckoning by Exchequer years). Thomas of London was assigned by Edward III to make account of the expenses of the Queen's household (see endorsement, and T. F. Tout, Chapters in the Administrative History of Mediaeval England, V (1930), 245-6). The previous portion of William de Boudon's roll, covering 9 March-29 Sept. 1325, is PRO E. 101/380/10; PRO E. 101/380/9 is a transcript of Thomas of London's account (Tout, ibid.). See also J.
