The original instrument upon the lodging of the regalia of Scotland (crown, sceptre and sword) in Edinburgh Castle, with the signatures of notaries (with their devices) and many witnesses. Painted representations of the regalia on a crimson cushion at the beginning. Coloured partial border, dexter, depicting St Andrew at the foot of a giant thistle inhabited by lions. Printed in W. Maitland, History of Edinburgh (1753), 161-4, with many minor variations and without the names of notaries and witnesses.
