Vellum binding, original, with fragments of green ties, stamped in gold on both covers with a flower between the initials 'E. P'. Ownership inscription, 'ex dono Thomae Drury armigeri et amici fidelis 1612', fol. ii.
Scope and content
Two alphabets of arms, etc., with small ink drawings of charges; early 17th century (before 1612, fol. ii). Contents:-

(1) List of Emperors, fol. 1, with blazons, beg. with 'Emperor John king of Jude', Emperor of Constantinople, Emperor Vespasian, followed by an alphabet of kings, etc., beg. Athelstone, Asclepater, including unusual Anglo-Saxon kings, and (fol. 5) unusual saints, and a list of the nine worthies (fol. 6). fols. 1-6;-

(2) Alphabet, mainly of English arms, Ab-Z. Counties given in the margins. Includes a section of Earls under E. A few entries added by a slightly later hand. fols. 7-241.
