Scope and content
A copy of the Koran (year of the Hegira 1288). Naskh script. ?Turkish provenance. Colophon gives the name of the scribe al-Sayyid al-Shaykh al-Hajj Muhammad Nuri [ibn?] al-Sayyid Mir Muhammad. Two decorated pages at the beginning, and simple gold borders throughout. (Inf. Sheila Canby).
