Scope and content
Blazons; c. 1670 (item 5), after 1725. Contents:- (1) List of grants and confirmations of arms, with blazons. Imperfect according to the index references in (3) below, fols. 1-65;- (2) List of Knights of the Bath and their squires as marshalled in Henry VII's Chapel at Westminster Abbey in 1725, with blazons of their arms and crests, fols. 66-9;- (3) Index to (1). fols. 69v-82v;- (4) A short list of arms, with blazons, imperfect at the end. fols. 83v-5v (formerly fols. 70-1), with an index, to which references to (1) have been added by a later hand. fols. 86-97;- (5) At the reverse end (originally the front) of the volume, an incomplete alphabet of arms, Ab-Ch, with small ink drawings of charges, fols. 128v-97 reversed.
