A volume containing four separate collections of Lancashire arms, in trick (items (1)-(3) entered in printed outlines); second half of 17th century. Some annotation by Peter Le Neve, Norroy. Contents list by Ralph Griffin, fol. iii. As follows:- (1) Alphabet of arms, Ailesworth-Yomars (lacks arms). Heading by Peter Le Neve, 'Arms of Gent. of Lancashire'. fols. 1-15;- (2) Alphabet of arms, Allington-Shuttleworth. fols. 16-34;- (3) Alphabet of arms, Ashton-Winstanley. fols. 35-51v;- (4) Begins Ashton, but not an alphabet. Shields drawn in ink, with crests, arranged four per page. Whole-page achievement of Sir Richard Houghton, High Sheriff of Lancashire, 1659, fol. 60. Index, fol. 52. fols. 52-61.
