A Collection of Arms and Crests & ca made from the most undoubted Authorities (which are cited) By Barak Longmate..' (p. vi), genealogist and heraldic engraver (1738-93). Blazons of arms from visitations, books, prints and other sources, including MS collections of arms in trick, 1634, 1644 (pp. 59-63), MS collections owned by Mr Blyke, 1771 (pp. 64-79) and Mr Pingo, engraver (pp. 154-83), and Gough's notes (pp. 260-329), said to be 'penes B Pingo Rouge Dragon' (Benjamin Pingo, Rouge Dragon 1780-6). List of grants by Robert Cooke, Clarenceux (pp. 85-97), and copies of grants of arms (pp. 348-50, 352). Smaller sheets of arms (pp. 353-67) from the visitation of Leicestershire.
