Copy of the grant of civil rights and excise by King Manuel I of Portugal to the town of Torres Novas in 1510, with additions to 1815; early 19th century. Printed title page (fol. 1), preceded by a printed page (fol. iv) with the name 'G.C.Beresford' on a shield within floral devices, surmounted by crossed trumpets (?William Carr Beresford, General in the Peninsular Wars, d. 1854).
