Compilation by Sir Edward Dering, 1st Bt. (1595-1644) of the arms of the lords summoned to the Parliaments held at Salisbury, 1297, London, 1299, 1300, and Westminster, 1308, 1309, sometimes called the nobility rolls; temp. Chas.I. Dering derived the arms from various sources to fit the names of those summoned. The arms are entered, in trick, on twelve sheets of paper printed with 20 shield outlines per side. Published from this MS by James Greenstreet in Notes and Queries (1876-7), 5th series, 5, pp. 103,383; 6, p.222; 7, p.284; 8, p.203; excerpts from vols.5,6 tipped in.
