Scope and content
'The booke of Receipts'. Yearly revenues of the abbey from Michaelmas 29 Henry VIII to Michaelmas 30 Henry VIII (1537-8) 'ffrom the Time of Richard Stephenadge late Abbott' (heading, fol. 2). Richard Stevenage, last abbot of St Albans, surrendered the abbey to the king on 5 Dec. 1539. Possibly a stray record from the Augmentations Office.
