Reports, orders, cases, etc., of Sir Edward Northey, as Attorney General, and Sir John Fortescue Aland (1st Baron Fortescue, 1746), as Solicitor General, relating partly to the 1715 rebellion, followed by other legal material; Jan. 1715/16-Jan. 1716/17, n.d. Included are:- Cases of estates forfeited for the rebellion (fols. 1v-20); writs of extent to recover debts due to the Crown (fols. 21v-37); 'A Note of such Books as are now remaining in the outer Roome where the Clerks write at Westmr 4to April. 1623' (i.e in the Court of Exchequer), no. 7 being 'A Book called Domesday booke..' (fols. 38v-9); transcript of a book borrowed (cf. fol. iv) from Mr Marriott, Master of the Office of Pleas in the Exchequer (fols. 43-99). Autograph contents list by Sir John Aland, fol. iv.
