19th-century transcript (fols. 7-42) of 33 letters, 1680-4, of Dr William Lloyd, Bishop of St Asaph, preceded by a life of Bishop Lloyd and list of his works (fols. 2-6) by James Herbert Cooke, FSA, and followed (fols. 43-6v) by an Appendix conc. Bishop Lloyd's relations with Quakers and Nonconformists, and an Index (fols. 47-50). The letters are almost entirely addressed to the Rev. John Edwards, Commissary of St Asaph at Llanymynych, and relate mostly to church matters, with occasional reference to politics. Pedigree of the Lloyd family, fols. ii verso-iii.
