References (consisting of a capital letter followed by a folio number), entered under place names, to deeds conc. churches and monasteries in the diocese of Rochester used by John Thorpe, senior. By comparison with the transcripts in MSS/0167 vol 3 the reference 'D' appears to relate to the register of Bishop Fisher (note, fol.ii). Index of places by John Baynard, amanuensis to Thorpe, fols. vi-vii verso.
