Arms of the sovereigns of England from William the Conqueror (arms surrounded by smaller shields of arms attributed to the Britons, Romans, Saxons and Danes, fol. 1) to Queen Elizabeth, and arms of peers in order of creation to Peregrine Bertie (succeeded to the barony of Eresby, 1580). Painted shields (508). With genealogical and historical notices. The collection was originally compiled by Robert Cook, Clarenceux, and revised by Robert Glover, Somerset.
