Scope and content
Domestic and personal accounts of Sir John Franklin of Willesden, MP for Middlesex (d. 1647), etc.; 3 Sept. 1624-7 June 1648, 1684-6. Franklin accounts, fols. 1-85, followed, fols. 85v-133, by domestic accounts, 1684-6, 6, probably of the household of Dr George Rogers, lessee of the estate after Sir John's successors parted with it, c. 1668 (VCH Middlesex, VII (1982), 215).

On the back pastedown, fol. v, names of poor men and women who received coats and gowns through the gift of Sir John Franklin, 1624-31. On a flyleaf, fol. iii, list of preachers in Lent, before 1638, apparently in the Chapel Royal, including Dr Thomas Winniffe, Dean of St Paul's, 1631-42, and Dr John Warner as Dean of Lichfield.
