Scope and content
17th-century transcript of the collections of William of Worcester, chronicler, relating to the wars in France and Normandy and the regency of John, Duke of Bedford.

The main part, fols. 1-43v, is apparently copied or derived from Lambeth MS 506, fols. 2-50 (the blank leaves, fols. 23v-4v, correspond to Lambeth 506, fols. 26-7v). All except the table of contents, fol. 5r, v, lists of nobility in the service of the Duke of Bedford, fols. 6-9, and numbers of armed men, fols. 25-7v, are published (from Lambeth MS 506) by J. Stevenson, Letters and Papers Illustrative of the wars of the English in France during the Reign of Henry VI, II, ii (1864), 521-59, 565-97 (Rolls Series, 22, 1861-4). Pencil notes, 17th century, fols. 23, 44, relate to text in French not transcribed in this manuscript.

The following texts are not in Lambeth MS 506:- (1) Four items, listed in Ellis (1816), 19, relating to the nobility serving under the Duke of Bedford, peace negotiations, and directions for the Dukes of York and Somerset. fols. 50-2v;- (2) State of the revenues of France, etc., under the Duke of Bedford, from 1 Oct. 1427 to 30 Sept. 1428. fols. 54-8v. Ellis (1816), 17-19, gives the headings of most of the contents.
