Scope and content
'Commentarii hexaemeri Rerum Cantabrigiae actarum, cum Serenissima Regina.. Elizabeth, in Academiam Cantab. advenerat..' (heading, fol. 4, annotated 'Collectore N. Robynsono'). An account, fols. 4-83v, of Queen Elizabeth's visit to Cambridge, 5-10 August 1564; apparently written shortly after the events described.

Nicholas Robinson, afterwards Bishop of Bangor (d. 1585), was bursar, 1551-3, and Vice-President, 1561, of Queens' College (see DNB); his name is included among the fellows of Queens', fol. 102. See J. Nichols, The Progresses.. of Queen Elizabeth, III (1805), 27-134. In the same hand, fols. 85-117v, 121r, v, names of founders, benefactors, masters and senior officers, scholars, etc., of Cambridge colleges compiled between 1564-7 (includes Robert Beaumont, Master of Trinity, d. 1567).
