Scope and content
An incomplete calendar, January to July only, with the astronomical tables of Nicholas of Lynn. With a preface, fol. 3r, v, beg. 'Quia cristus ihesus mediator..', stating that the work was composed in 1386 for the four decennovennal cycles 1387-1462, and indicating the uses of the tables. The calendar for each month gives major festivals in blue, including St Cuthbert (20 March) and 'Com(m)emoracio beate uirginis' (17 July). Later additions to the calendar include three northern English saints, Wilfrid, William of York and John of Beverley. Prayers entered in various hands, fol. lv-2v. Note on intercalary years, fol. 2 top. Initials for Kalends in gold, on red and blue.
