Notebook originally titled 'Weld’s Cheshire armory', but ‘Weld’s’ was later crossed out.
MS transcript by HS London of a book which he thought to be in a 16th-century hand, formerly owned by Peter Le Neve and Thomas Martin. The volume was then on loan to AT Butler, Windsor Herald, in the College of Arms. HSL noted that he had attached the name ‘Weld’ to the compilation because the family’s arms appeared on p.6.
