* material about artefacts in the Pitt Rivers Museum and Plymouth Municipal Museum.
* sketches of artefacts, as well as cross-sections and plans. Some red highlighting.
Sites located mainly in Cornwall and Gloucestershire.
Two letters are also included:
* from Dr Eliot Cecil Curwen to ‘Dear Corder’, explaining that he has come across some of his father’s notebooks and he thinks they might be of interest to the Society, 28 January 1958.
* from Dr Curwen to Corder thanking him for his interest in the notebooks and offering all the notebooks to the Society. Dr Curwen mentions nine notebooks in total in his letters, but there are, in fact, ten in the Society’s collection. 31 January 1958.
This correspondence is likely with Philip Corder, Assistant Secretary to the Society of Antiquaries from 1943 to 1961.
