Features of particular interest:

St Cuthbert, Bewcastle, Cumberland (now Cumbria). Including two good photos of the Bewcastle Cross, one of the finest surviving Anglo-Saxon crosses in Britain (pp. 1-3).

Hadrian’s Wall and its Stations. Including photos of various sections of the wall (pp. 17-30).

Hexham Priory, Northumberland. Including a good number of photos and pen and ink copies of shields of arms (pp. 33-44).

Melrose Abbey, Roxburghshire. Including a good number of photos and sketches (pp. 60-73).
