Features of particular interest:

Rievaulx Abbey. Notes, photos and copies of two tomb slabs (pp. 9-12).

Fountains Abbey. Extensive notes and photos (pp. 13-23).

All Saints, Great Ayton, Yorkshire. Notes and photos. The churchyard has a number of interesting tombstones, including those the parents of Captain James Cook. ‘The church is a quaint little building but has considerable Norman remains so is more interesting than would seem likely at first sight’ (pp. 29-33, quote p. 29).

Holy Trinity, Skipton, Yorkshire. Colour copies of shields of arms from the Clifford tombs (pp. 144-145 and six unpaginated pages before p. 144).
