Grant by Thomas Fulthorp, esq., son and heir of William Fulthorp, esq., and kinsman and heir of Thomas Fulthorp, knight, one of the Justiciars of the Common Bench, to Robert Fowery of an annual rent of 13s. 4d due from Thomas Richardson of Newcastle upon Tyne, smith, for a tenement on 'le keysyde' (quay side), Newcastle upon Tyne, lately in the tenure of Walter Heron, smith. The tenement lies between a tenement of the House of St Michael 'de la Waleknoull' (of Wall knoll) on the east and a tenement of the Hospital of St Katherine the Virgin on the Mountain of the Sands, Newcastle, on the west and extends to the King's highway on the south and to the land of William Hardyng esq. on the north. 10 (named) witnesses. 2 seal tags, one with fragment of mayoral seal. Annotated (subsequently) with memorandum recording the acknowledgement by Richardson of the rent due to Fowery in the presence of John Penereth, Mayor of Newcastle upon Tyne, and others in the Guildhall on 17 September.
