Lease by Hugh son of Nicholas Brun to John Elgi of all his land in 'vico fori' (Market Street), Newcastle, lying between the land formerly held by Ranulph de Holand and the land of Simon Mirield, except the 'torello' (kiln) which Matilda de Holand holds from him, paying annually 7s 6d to Brun and his heirs, 18d to the nuns of Newcastle and 1d to the monks of the new monastery. 10 (named) witnesses, including Henry Scoto, Mayor of Newcastle.
