Nos. 1-6, issued 1875, are photographs of the ‘Oxford Arms’, a galleried Inn situated at the end of a short lane leading out of the west side of Warwick Lane, Paternoster Row (demolished in 1878), including: Entrance of the Inn (1 & 3); Inn Yard (2 & 3); Upper Gallery (4); One of the Staircases (5); and General View of the Galleries, with St Paul’s in the background and taken from the windows of the Old Bailey (6). A second smaller set of these photographs is also included at 22.5cm x 18cm, mounted on blue card 29.5cm x 24.5cm.
