Scope and content
Collection of research notes on Maces which feature in State Regalia. The information is divided into the following subsections: Particular Maces, Warrant Books - Lord Chamberlain/Jewel House, Calendar Treasury Books, Delivery Books, Account Books, Appointment - Serj. at Arms, Calendar State Papers (Domestic), Mics. Extracts from Books, New Maces and Info from Pictures. They contain detailed histories and descriptions of the maces belonging to the State, with sketches and some printed pictures included and full measurements and dimensions given. There are also lists of paintings on public display which feature a mace or orb of state.
