1944 �The improved result for the year should not be over emphasised for it must be remembered that all our activities and expenditure are on a skeleton and war-time basis still��..If our Research Fund was five times as large, it would be still insufficient to meet the demands of the times, and Fellows are urged, wherever possible, to help to build up this Fund either by current contributions or by testamentary dispositions�
