2. Mandeville Roll (ML).
Contents page, with MS note by John A Goodall: ‘This roll is adapted from the Parliamentary Roll (N). The copied extracts in II from Strangway’s Book ought not to be regarded as a genuine roll but are merely C.16 extracts’, 23 Mar 1996.
Introduction, London, Dec 1951: he explains that this should have been named ‘Strangways’ Roll’, ‘but when Mr Wagner catalogued version II version I had not come to light’, and adds that ‘[a] description of all three manuscripts is given in the preface to Strangways’ Roll’.
