Concerning a piece of gold then in the Bodleian Library (found in St Giles's field, Oxford, and previously owned by Sir John Holman, Bt.; see R.Plot, The Natural History of Oxford-shire (1677), 352, Tab.16, fig.5), supposedly associated with Edward the Confessor when touching for king's evil, considered by Pegge to be a Mercian jewel.
