The following Fellow was proposed and elected: Edward Lord Thurlow

Masons’ marks used in German buildings in the Middle Ages.

Traces of a Roman villa at Gayton, Northants, found in 1840; also finds.

Sepulchral brass of Margaret Bulstrode found to have that of Thomas de Totyngton on reverse at Hedgerley, Bucks, and rubbings of brass to John Buttyll, chaplain to Edward VI when Prince of Wales; also rubbing of vicar’s brass from St. Margaret’s Rochester.
