Robert Buchan exhibits an urn discovered in a tumulus adjoining the Roman camp at Kirkbuddo, Scotland, together with a letter of explanation.
Nicholas Carlisle (Secretary) presents his note on a Roman urn, and a letter from John Nott relating to the Register of Burials of Uffculme Devon.
Reverend Stephen Weston exhibits two Samaritan coins together with letters of explanation.
The following Fellows were recommended for election: George Richard Martin.
Notices of the following election ballots was given: George Duckett (17-11-1808); William Smith, George Lister (24-11-1808)
The following publications were presented to the Society:
- ‘Calendarium inquisitionum post mortem sive escaetarum Vol 2 tempore Regis Edward III’ and ‘Proceedings of the Commissioners for the arrangement and preservation of public records of the Kingdom 1806-1808 as relates to Scotland’ presented by the Chairman of Commissioners for the arrangement and preservation of public records;
- Parts I and II of Philosophical Transactions 1808, presented by the President;
- Ninth volume of Asiatick Researches, Calcutta 1807 presented by the Asiatick Society;
- Annual Report 1808 of the Royal Humane Society presented by the same.
