The following Fellows were recommended for election: Richard Stanley, Charles Talbot, William Clarke Woodbine.

The following Fellow was recommended for an honorary member: Comte de la Tour de Rezzonico.

The following Fellow was elected: Baron Francis Conyngham of Ireland.

Lord Fife presented a volume consisting of views of ruins, antiquities, and natural history of North Britain, accompanied by a letter to the Rev. Mr. Norris.

Dr. Free presented An Essay towards an History of the English Tongue.

Mr. Nichols presented a small tract titled ‘New Years Gifts given to Queen Elizabeth 1577, as well as exhibiting some antiquities found near Yarmouth.

Mr. Gibson presented two curious prints, in aqua tinta, of the ruins of Whitby Abbey.

Observations on the Font in Winchester Cathedral and on inscriptions in St. John’s Hall there by Mr. Milner, communicated by Mr. Gough.
