Accounts by the Hon D Barrington of a curious picture at the Cross Foxes, Oswestry, allusive to the Reformation; of a painting in St. Blasé’s chapel, St. Peter’s Westminster, representing a Virgin with the symbols of her martyrdom; of a bas relief on the entrance into the Burying Ground, Shoe Lane, of the Last Judgement. Also, a notice regarding a tablet on the front of a house in Newgate Street, London, representing King James’s tall porter and “Jeffrey the Dwarf”.
Barrington also presents the recent edition, in facsimile types, of the Alexandrian MS of the New Testament.
