The following Fellows were proposed for election: Sir Edward Astley, Bart.; Thomas Bowdler, MD
The following Fellows were admitted to the Society: Thomas Lord Bishop of Lincoln, Lord Frederick North
Resolutions proposed by the Council: form electing a new Secretary on the death of Dr. Morell, laid before the Society & acceded to; the distinct business of the two Secretaries; John Topham proposed to be Secretary pro tempore and to be elected of this Council; Treasurer to have new seat assigned him; the vacancies of the Council, occasioned by the deaths of members proposed to be filled up; Lord de Ferrars, John Topham and Thomas Astle proposed to fill up the vacancies in the Council; Draughtsman proposed to be elected; a Portfolio for holding drawings to be provided, and laid constantly on the table; the several Resolutions agreed to by the Society.
John Carter elected as draughtsman for the Society.
Book acquired: The Life of the Rev. Thomas Baker, by then Rev. Mr. Masters.
Account of a curious vase found in the sarcophagus of Alexander Severus at Rome.
Sir William Hamilton exhibits the Barbarini Vase.
