I.C Brooker gives a description of the Great Sea of Mary d’Este, second wife of King James II, alongside an analysis of its symbolism; a description of Mary d’Este’s character and her French heritage.
Hen-Penruddock Wyndham’s continued observations on the Roman tessellate mosaic pavement found in Caerwent; further notes about its excellent preservation; considered to be a significant discovery compared to other ancient Roman antiquities.
J.R. Forster presents ancient Persian alphabets originally inscribed on the walls and rocks at Persepolis, Tchelminar; the alphabets were transcribed by Captain Niebuhr during his travels; interest in differences between Arabian numerals.
